SCOPEThe Supplier Marketing & Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying business opportunities in Mouser’s product offerings. This position will report to the Regional Manager of Supplier Marketing an d Business Development, an d will assist in being a driver for regional marketing an d development efforts, from strategy, market share positioning, competitive analysis, financial an d operative analysis leading to successful execution of strategies an d goals.
ACCountABILITIESResearches an d analyzes industry an d competitive conditions, customer needs, an d supplier needs. Designs the marketing strategies to capitalize on business opportunities. Drives the process with multiple departments an d suppliers to plan an d launch their products an d manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.Must be comfortable in various settings, from analyzing data, to interacting confidently with senior management in discussing strategy, market an d competitive conditions.Launches supplier initiatives an d therefore provides product solutions/unique advantages to suppliers an d customers so that Mouser is considered the preferred partner for suppliers an d the preferred provider of products for customersLeads the planning an d strategy for all direct marketing communications using a multitude of mediums to communicate to customers, both internal an d external, an d suppliers that drive demand form products.Builds an d implements test strategies for supplier marketing activities, an d analyze to better understand customer behavior an d maximize results.Strives to align market intelligence efforts with the Mouser’s core purpose strategy, which will result in targeted return on investment objectives.Discovers new product marketing opportunities that support new designs an d advanced technologies through strategy meetings with Suppliers.Supports an d participates in company total quality process. Available & willing to travel regional & internationally as needed. Valid passport an d other required travel documents, Or eligible to obtain required documents for travel.Works closely with the Supplier Management Team in Mouser Corporate to develop deeper relationships both at supplier management an d product management, identifying new opportunities an d both creating an d maintaining product road maps. Provides the strong product an d management support from region to corporate to maximize all potential growth opportunities globally.Works effectively while being responsible to various departments/management staff.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEDegree from 4-year college Or University in Electronics, Marketing, Or Business Administration, an d 3-5 years relevant work experience, Or an approved combination of education an d experience. Experience in marketing, internet business an d electronic distribution industry in assigned region, preferably with a multi-national organization.
