Star SU International Trading （Shanghai） Co., Ltd （short as Star SU China ） an d SU Shanghai Machines & Tools are brother companies. Star SU China is mainly responsible for the sales an d service of cutting tools an d machines of Sampuetnsili （Italy） an d Star Cutter （USA）.

1936,SAMP is founded in Bologna, Italy, as a company of the Maccaferri Industrial Group. Production includes wire drawing machines, looms for weaving metallic meshes an d gears.
1949,Samputensili is founded as a spin-off from SAMP, producing high-quality gear cutting tools. Its first customer is the Italian Army Aviation.
1995,Opening of the Samputensili Office in Beijing, which serves as a sales, distribution an d after sales center for the Chinese market.
2002, Samputensili an d Star Cutter join forces to form Star SU LLC in North America, later acquiring the Fellows Gear Shaper Cutter Division. Star SU is the Go-To Market Sales Enterprise for both companies, designed intentionally to reduce the cost of getting to the market through the use of synergistic, reorganized resources.
2004, Samputensili opens a manufacturing plant for gear cutting tools in Shanghai. The production includes hobs, shaving cutters, master gears an d a service center for resharpening an d recoating.
2014, The partnership between Star Cutter an d Samputensili is strengthened an d extended to South America. The manufacturing plant in Jundiai, Sao Paulo, established in 1974, on its 40th Anniversary changes its name from Samputensili do Brasil to Star SU do Brasil.
2015, A further strengthening of the co-operation between Star Cutter an d Samputensili takes place in China, giving birth to Star SU International Trading （Shanghai） Co. Ltd., which is responsible for the complete sales an d service activities of the entire product portfolios of both manufacturers. The joining of superior technologies an d strong sales an d service networks brings greater productivity to Chinese customers an d partners.
