The role: Womenswear EditorThe hours: 9.00am – 6.00pm (Monday to Friday)9.00am – 6.00pm (every other Saturday)
The TeamThis role sits within the Customer Experience center, an d the wider Marketing Department. The Content Team is a multi-disciplinary department responsible for the delivery of all fashion related content across the FashionMia website an d associated marketing channels (Facebook amongst others). The team consists of editors, web designers, UI designers, developers, trading activity managers, social media editors an d project managers – all working together to produce engaging an d insightful content relevant to the target an d to deliver on overarching objective – getting a name in fashion for 20 somethings!
The RoleThis role reports to the Senior Content Editor an d the User Experience Manager.The Detail·Work in close conjunction with the Senior Content Editor, to create an d manage the womenswear editorial output for the US, by delivering inspiring content that taps into our global customers’ needs, an d reflects of our brand DNA across all platforms including newsfeed, social, newsletters an d site homepages.·Work in close collaboration with the Social Media team to create highly innovative an d inherently social content; an d to distribute relevant, engaging an d sharable longer form content via the FashionMia social platforms.·Concept, write, translate, edit an d upload daily articles for FashionMia; drive traffic to these articles through effective distribution on all available channels.·Help to champion a culture of optimization; sharing learnings from activities (both good an d bad); an d pushing both the Editorial an d Social teams to keep developing their approach.·Feed into the monthly reporting, tracking an d measuring of content performance, an d use the lessons – collated from post campaign analysis of local activity created with Trade Marketing Managers - to inform future content planning an d creation, based on relevant KPIs.·Work with the SEO team to ensure that all content is optimized for search; keeping up with regular developments an d Updates.·Ensure all editorial an d social ideas support the broader business strategy an d collaborate with design, buying an d merchandising teams to effectively convert retail an d trading messages into customer relevant, fashion credible campaigns.·Utilize existing relationships an d develop new ones with freelance writers, photographers, artists an d PRs Or talent management reps to commission bespoke content for your territory that will inspire our audience an d raise our fashion profile.·Provide writing an d editing support for ad hoc copy requests, for example from PR, social, customer services, etc.·Manage an d contribute to the evolution of the daily, weekly, monthly an d seasonal content calendar across all communication channels.·Ensure the publishing schedule is delivered within budget.·Manage any junior writers, when applicable. Provide support an d guidance to improve their writing skills.·Craft a culture within the editorial team that is positive, professional an d always ambitious for the department an d the brand.

Some key skills an d experience that you will need...·Talented, digital content expert with a proven editorial background.·The ability to consistently produce short an d punchy heads an d sells, great copy an d original feature ideas.·Ability to self-sub an d a meticulous eye for checking copy.·Interest an d experience in concepting an d creating multimedia content: everything from pictures to video, through to long form articles an d snappy headlines.·An intrinsic understanding of the FashionMia womenswear customer an d what motivates her.·Excellent understanding of online content for the fashion forward twenty-something audience.·Plugged into fashion industry an d pop culture an d a keen eye for spotting the latest up an d coming trends·Highly engaged in social media an d well-versed in emerging social platforms·Strong understanding of digital/online technology an d its application across multi-channel content publishing including, apps, social media an d video.·Good understanding of retail an d ability to articulate retail messages for the target customer, as well as be able to communicate confidently about fashion.·An understanding of SEO principles an d online publishing.·Experience of working in a fast paced daily publishing environment.·Ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines.·A collaborative approach an d able to build strong relationships
