Role Title: Software Engineer ManagerBusiness: Global Technology - Global Trade an d Receivable Finance
Role Purpose / Description- Understand Group an d CMB strategy, help define technical strategy an d execute which to fulfill business needs an d aspirations on growth, management an d control.- Plan for people an d project management, provide coaching an d guiding directly Ｏr indirectly to teams having developers, testers, analyst an d architects inside by giving clear direction, feedbacks an d timely suggestions to ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards an d best practices.- Address existing technical debt an d drive for technical evolution aka Digital Transformation for the teams by working closely with various parties including business, SMEs, Solution Architects globally - Establish an d maintain trustworthy relationships with business an d relevant stakeholders. Manage expectation of key stakeholders an d work jointly to maximize interest of business an d customers - Manage supply an d demand pipeline an d give guidance, direction for making decision to achieve goals, deliver products that align with business
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications- Minimal 10 years’ experience of software developments with both water-Fall an d Agile methodologies. - Have experience leading an d managing agile, cross function delivery teams encompassing 30 staff （direct an d indirect repartees）. - Knowledge on DevOps, Disciplined Agile Delivery （DAD）, Agile control framework. - Are passionate about technology an d look for opportunities to learn & bring new ideas to the team. - Have experience with Java an d web based technologies （javascript framework, HTML5, CSS） an d Database（Oracle） - Have experience with Production Support an d incident management - Demonstrable ability to mentor, develop talent an d motivate staff to reach their optimum performance levels an d career development - Want to be part of a world class team, working for a business with a need an d appreciation for excellent software engineers - Excellent knowledge of their technical environment an d will have significant responsibility in setting the way forward in the types of technology they look after.
