The Cybersecurity Specialist role reports to the Sr. Manager, Security Operations an d Threat Intelligence, an d is responsible for security event monitoring across network an d endpoint security solutions in support of Global Information Security functions. The Specialist is also responsible for leading network security projects an d proactively protecting information assets from unauthorized Ｏr inappropriate access, use Ｏr disclosure as well as business disruptions through proper identification an d escalation of incidents. In addition to working closely with IT an d the Business, regular interaction with internal an d external auditors, Legal, Privacy an d Ethics is also required of the position.Responsibilities: Develop an understanding of Newell Brands current an d forward-looking threat profile Monitor an d report on the technology threat landscapeIdentify intrusion activity by leveraging alert data from multiple sensors an d systems an d determine priority for responseActively lead network security improvement projectsDocument an d escalate incidents that may cause ongoing an d immediate impact to the environmentAnalyze identified malicious activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, effects on system an d information Notify designated managers, incident responders, an d security service provider team members of suspected incidents an d articulate the event s history, status, an d potential impact for further actionCollaborate with other information security an d IT team members to develop governance an d implement strategies for monitoring an d preventing attacksProvide evidence for compliance activities; such as SOX, PCI, Data PrivacParticipate in after-hours on-call incident management
Qualifications: Proficiency in English required 1 years in an Information Security role Bachelor s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Ｏr related field requiredWorking knowledge of Windows an d Linux servers, IDS/IPS, A/V, SIEMs, DLP, an d FirewallsAbility to communicate technical information in understandable business terms
