Role: The embedded engineer is the embedded subject matter expert. The embedded engineer experience with off the shelf systems （e.g. Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Grove, Linux） as well as in custom systems. The embedded engineer engages with strategic communities as a thought leader an d contributor. Whenever possible, the Application engineer will seize opportunities aligned with current IoT topics an d present talks, technical papers, demos, an d amplify through blogs an d videos.

Responsibilities
· Help customers get their device connected to the Microsoft Azure Cloud Service
· Help to port the Azure IoT Agent Library to new architectures for customers
· Write example code for customers an d the product team to help accelerate adoption
· Maintaining expertise in latest embedded development topics; including Microsoft, competitive an d third party technologies
· Work with customers on reviewing their architecture, troubleshoot during build an d test, an d consult when there are technical roadblocks.
· Engage an d foster strong relationships with peer Microsoft teams; including product groups, research an d evangelism teams
· Engage with peer influencers an d contribute to relevant communities locally an d internationally
· Capture an d create high value technical documentation an d media
· Support strategic planning, including but not limited to: technical themes, events, programs, budgets
· Plan an d execute in-lab activities: schedule talks, education, speaker line-ups, content an d video production, ad-hoc events
· Provide operational budgets an d reporting to Lab PM
· Escalate opportunities, events Ｏr incidents as appropriate
Qualifications
· Solid background in embedded development – Linux, Android, Windows, C, C , C#
· Familiarity with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Seeed Grove an d other Maker systems.
· 8 years of embedded development using Linux, Android, Windows
· Demonstrated leadership in one Ｏr more relevant subject area - online Ｏr offline
· Highly acＣountable, success driven an d thrives in a fast-paced environment
· Senior an d executive audience engagement
· Solid written an d verbal communications skills
· Technical degree required. Graduate degree highly desirable.
