Job Description:Prior experience working with manufacturers in wood an d metal for retailers is preferred. Quality ensure that products meet standards of quality an d safety.
Key Responsibilities:? Quality engineers work at monitoring, testing, an d inspecting products to make sure they meet specified standards. Quality engineers test products to determine how long they will last, what part may break down first an d how to improve product durability. They inspect product materials, mechanics an d electrical systems work. The quality engineer also designs systems by which production quality can be checked in an ongoing process. In addition, quality engineers typically work with the production team to implement any new testing criteria Ｏr assembly methods they may have developed.? Materials quality engineers verify product dimensions, color, texture an d strength an d locate imperfections. Quality engineers may work in laboratory settings running tests an d duplicating real-world conditions. They use tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, volt meters, ammeters, an d ohmmeters, as well as electronic inspection equipment like coordinate measuring machines （CMMs）, to aid them in their? Quality engineers ensure that Quality control inspectors make sure that everything from raw materials to finished products meets quality an d safety standards specified in the purchasing documentation. All production processes, whether large Ｏr small, require elements of quality control an d all inspection an d testing is carried out to specified requirements that have been agreed between the purchaser an d the supplier.? Quality Engineers ensure that Quality control inspectors normally work in a shop floor, workshop Ｏr office. They visit the factory floor to take samples of products an d inspect production, an d to discuss problems with colleagues.? They also inspect products purchased by their company from suppliers an d maintain records of supplier performance. This data is important in helping suppliers to improve their performance an d for making decisions regarding which suppliers can be relied on to meet specified requirements,? QW’s verify QC records of all the tests they have carried out. They use charts an d statistics to analyze their results. They then write an d present a report to show their findings.? They may be responsible for declaring that a product is not safe Ｏr is not of the specified quality.? If there is a problem, quality engineers meet with production staff to work out the root cause of the problem an d to decide whether current processes need to be changed. They might make recommendations for improvement.Personal skills? QE’s should have a logical, methodical approach to your work an d you must be accurate when taking measurements an d recording figures.? QE’s need good number skills, for example, in order to measure an d weigh samples, Ｏr perhaps to understand an d use statistics as well as systems skills.? Depending on the area in which you work, QE’s may also need the ability to use technical equipment, for example, microscopes an d automated testing machines.? Requires a two year college in Engineering, Quality, Ｏr Math.Certification courses in Quality Assurance.Must have an understanding of Statistical Process Control.

Experience:? At least 5 years of relevant experience? General understanding of metal job shop operations, experience in wood an d metal shop fabrication a plus? Strong understanding of quality parameters? Understanding of manufacturing environment

Demonstrate the ability to anticipate an d solve problems, possess a highly proactive approach to problem solving? Must be able to multi task effectively?
