ABOUT THE JOB The Business Navigator in the store is inspired by the IKEA’s vision to create a better everyday life for the many people. He/she is driven by the IKEA business idea, culture an d values with a focus on driving the business opportunities for growth an d sustainable profitability by providing relevant an d user friendly business information, identifying an d evaluating business opportunities to enable store management to make optimum decisions They always take a multi-dimensional view, considering customer, commercial, financial, operational an d people perspectives. YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include Customers I ensure a multidimensional approach to steering the business with customers in focus by all the information an d tools available, such as ICSS an d Brand Capital report etc.I look at the store through the eyes of the customers during the store tour together with commercial teams, to interact with customers an d co-workers to understand the store situation.CommercialI understand the store range an d commercial priorities so as to support an d contribute to the commercial agenda.I work with the store team by supporting an d challenging them to ensure the business growth with sustained profitability.I seek an d identify business opportunities an d encourage take quick actions which will grow sales an d improve gross profit.I use store performance benchmarking reports to identify proven solutions an d secure the effective implementation of tools, working methods an d best practice. People I work together, share knowledge an d show understanding of each other’s responsibilities across all areas in order to achieve store objectives.I am responsible for the competence development of the BN team an d support their growth an d career development.I set clear goals an d expectations an d make time to follow up with team members. Financial I am responsible for the store yearly financial budget/ bi-monthly financial forecast an d communicating the goals to related parties in the store an d SO BN. I am responsible for securing that the store costs are in line with goals by highlighting deviations an d potentials to support the management team to take corresponding actions. I drive the follow-up process to ensure store focus on delivering the business plan. I proactively work to develop the Scenario Plans an d ensure these scenarios are well documented, realistic an d communicated. Operations I ensure the managers understand an d agree on expectations an d standards within their teams regarding ASR & local routines an d regular follow ups. I am responsible for accurate administration in accordance with the legal framework an d the IKEA financial rules. I ensure the store is in-line with IKEA standards an d have the appropriate approved tools in place to maximise productivity an d efficiency. YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills an d experience include: Previous management experience in a financial/commercial role with proven strong analytical an d numerical skills Ambassador for IKEA, working in a way which reflects the IKEA values A thorough understanding of the profit an d loss an d the key performance measurements that we use to plan, follow up an d steer the business Proven record of consistency meeting agreed budgets an d goals, working on plans over a number of years. Setting an d implementing action plans an d providing clear direction an d following up goals Ability to engage a receiver by creating a passion for our plans. Ability to inspire others to see possibilities Ability to use common sense an d take objective decisions based on analysis of available information Ability to communicate confidently an d clearly in English – verbal an d written High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – especially excelStrong working relationships with all levels of management Effective communication skill both in oral an d in written.
