Summary of Position:This position is responsible for planning, directing, an d monitoring theactivities of the sales team within Greater China region to achieve establishedsales targets. Greater China is geographically defined as China, Hong andTaiwan.
Duties an d Responsibilities:1. Develop sales strategies an d work plans to increase customer base andmarket share. Manage the activities ofregional sales force in order to implement the organisation’s overall salesstrategy2. Provide marketintelligence an d information relevant for product development, sales andmarketing strategies3. Prepare salesforecasts an d budgets. Expand sales order intake an d revenues an d monitor salesrelated costs against forecasts4. Manage theday-to-day activities of sales team. Manage the performance of the sales team within Greater China regionand re-allocate resources to improve overall results5. Plan investment andresources required to meet sales goals an d objectives6. Provide guidanceand direction to sales representatives, in terms of technical knowledge, salesapproach an d industrial standards7. Contribute to the development of sales,marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing an d distribution strategiesfor the region8. Oversee sales support activities such as ordermanagement, customer service, invoicing an d credit an d collections to ensurethat customer orders are processed, dispatched, invoiced an d paid accuratelyand on time9. Coach sales representatives on the technicalaspects of the organisation’s products an d services; on marketing campaigns andsales promotions; an d on sales techniques, procedures an d standards that willhelp them to achieve their sales targets10. Functional responsibility to Asia Pacific CFOfor the financial affairs of the China legal entity as defined in the Company’sDelegation of Authority
Knowledge an d SkillRequirements:1. Degreein Mechanical Engineering Or equivalent2. Minimum15 years of relevant experience, preferably in Thermo/Refrigeration industry3. Proventrack record in business development up to EUR 30 million sales revenue4. Resultoriented an d technical problem solving5. Entrepreneurship,leadership appeal, teambuilding, self-confidence an d inquisitiveness to futurebusiness opportunities6. Fluencyin written an d spoken English
