A technical project manager an d solution architect responsible for gathering, prioritizing, an d delivering business functionality via the agile methodology for the Talent Exchange.
Responsibilitiesinclude managing the UI/UX an d front end development of a responsive application which consists of angular, jquery, an d bootstrap. There are mobile applications both in iOS an d Andriod. Backend service layer consists of ASP.NET, MVC, an d SQL Azure. An understanding of workflow an d trigger points is a must as the application uses many gates for approvals an d system flows. The application is hosted in Microsoft Azure as a PaaS with Sovren as component code being utilized for parsing, searching, matching. Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) is used to manage PBI’s, capacity, an d burn rates. Managing the testing team an d making sure all requirements are tested, testing plans are in place, an d test execution is performed for defects, integration, regression testing. The reporting package is Microsoft Power BI. Qualified individual needs to have a understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEO), an d google analytics to monitor traffic an d patterns of where to best use marketing budget as well as optimizations of screens an d flow. Ability to work closely with the business an d help prioritize requirements per sprint schedule. Also needs to help the business understand current functionality, current integrations an d how this could be impacted by some of the future business requirements an d dependencies including SAP, Peoplesoft, workday, iDam, an d other proprietary applications. Management of the overall technology team an d setting expectations an d appropriate delivery dates of defects, change requests, an d enhancements. Great communication & Organizational skills a must. Must have passport an d willing to travel internationally as the team is spread across India, China, an d USA.
Day in the life: Daily meetings with India an d China to understand open items, discuss solutions, review defects, review system now tickets. Review all issues an d emails related to operational tickets to make sure there are no technical deficiencies an d the business along with operations is using the application appropriately. Review business enhancements an d prioritize depending on sprint schedule an d capacity. Stand up meetings with US operations to review defects an d current obstacles operations is having to mitigate an d provide data where necessary.
Week/Month in the life: Similar to day to day in the life but occasionally during the month conduct phone calls with integration teams to discuss upcoming functionality including financial integrations Or on-boarding issues. Review files an d have working meetings during invoicing reconciliation. Conduct workshops with Operations to provide current status an d health check of Talent Exchange an d direction. Meet with the business to prioritize requirements an d upcoming functionality. Work with MBO team on integration issues an d enhancements to optimize the financial process. Work with PMO on resourcing, burn rates, attrition. Conduct reporting meetings with business leads an d technology reporting for increased data output. Work with NIS on monthly security screens for Web & Mobile applications. Output from NIS needs to be discussed with technology team an d combined with existing capacity of upcoming sprints to remediate. Review testing methodology an d test plans for accurate execution.
Year in the life: Review yearly budgets, performance reviews, Microsoft Azure reviews to make sure Platform is configured properly (Premium vs. Standard). Technical Roadmap discussion of what’s needed including upgrades, migrations, an d integration upgrades. Fiscal year resource plans for production support an d incremental functionality.
